The Center for Applied Transportation Sciences (CATS) has partnered with the City of Yuma to provide ongoing traffic engineering and technical support aimed at improving the safety, efficiency, and operation of the city's transportation network.
Beginning in 2023, the collaboration has delivered support in areas including traffic signal retiming, data dashboard, crash analyses, data collection, and grant proposal assistance. The success of the initial phases led to an extension and expansion of the partnership through Phase 4, reflecting the City's continued confidence in CATS as a trusted technical advisor.
Through this multi phase effort, CATS works closely with City staff to develop practical, data driven solutions that enhance mobility, improve roadway safety, and support Yuma's long term transportation goals.
